Service Alert: Heritage Quest images not loading

Images, such as census records, are not loading in Heritage Quest, when accessing the database remotely via proxy. On-site access through library IPs is not affected.

The vendor is aware of the issue and we are working towards a resolution.

Service Alert: Remote access to ProQuest

Remote access to ProQuest resources may be unavailable. Users may see an HTTP 500 error. Access from library IPs does not appear to be affected.

The vendor is aware of the issue and investigating the problem.

Service Alert: Amazon Web Services outage affecting ProQuest

A national internet outage affecting Amazon Web Services is affecting access to ProQuest and may affect other NC LIVE vendors.

ProQuest is aware of the issue but does not currently have an estimate for restoration of services.

Service Alert: ProQuest Environmental Sciences in Summon

We have identified an issue with the NC LIVE site search (via Summon) where some links to results from the ProQuest Environmental Sciences Collection do not resolve properly, and show a "We're sorry, this journal is not currently available in full text via NC LIVE. Please contact your library for help locating this journal" error message. We have determined that Summon is displaying journal results from outside NC LIVE's holdings when found within this database. This does not affect other search results. To avoid confusion, we have temporarily removed this database from our Summon search. It can still be accessed and searched directly. We will add the database back to our Summon search when the issue is resolved.

The vendor is aware of the issue and is working to resolve the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.

Service Alert: ProQuest Search Maintenance Scheduled 1/28 10am - 1/29 7am

January 26, 2017 - 6:20pm

ProQuest has scheduled an 9 hour Maintenance Window that will affect search.proquest.com. The Maintenance Window is scheduled to start Saturday, January 28th 10:00pm Eastern and scheduled to end Sunday, January 29th 7:00am Eastern.

Service Alert: Some Summon Search Results Links Not Working

We have identified an issue with the NC LIVE site search (via Summon). Some links to journal/scholarly article results do not resolve properly, and show a "We're sorry, this journal is not currently available in full text via NC LIVE. Please contact your library for help locating this journal." We have determined that Summon is displaying journal results from outside NC LIVE's holdings. This does not affect other types of search results, such as newspapers or ebooks. For scholarly/journal searches, we recommend searching subject-specific databases, or a general resource like ProQuest Central, to find full text results.

The vendor is aware of the issue and is working to resolve the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion.
