Citation Analysis

Citation analysis allows researchers to see how frequently a work has been cited in articles and is an invaluable tool for any literature review. If you come across an article that you think is key to your research, submit a citation search request and we will tell you who has cited that article in their research.

Faculty wishing to analyze citations for tenure are encouraged to use the "Analyzing Publications for Tenure-Track Faculty" guide.

Basic citation analysis can be done using the Web of Science database (on the Randall Library "Find Databases" webpage). If you need assistance with searching Web of Science please contact the Learning Commons Help Desk at 910-962-3760.

If you would like assistance with citation analysis, please submit a request for a citation analysis search by completing the form below.

Citation analysis is time intensive. If requesting analysis for more than three citations, please allow three to four weeks for the analysis to be returned.

Please enter a phone number where you can be reached during working hours (8am to 5pm)
