Citation Analysis

Faculty wishing to analyze citations for tenure are strongly encouraged to use the "Analyzing Publications for Tenure-Track Faculty" guide.

Basic citation analysis can be done using the Web of Science database (on the Randall Library "Find Databases" webpage). If you need assistance with searching Web of Science please contact the Learning Commons Help Desk at 910-962-3760 or http://library.uncw.ask.

Citation analysis allows researchers to see how frequently a work has been cited in articles and is an invaluable tool for any literature review. If you come across an article that you think is key to your research, we can assist you in determining who has cited that article in their research.

If you would like assistance with citation analysis, please submit a request for a citation analysis search by completing the form below. Please include as much information about each citation as possible.

Citation analysis is time intensive. If requesting analysis for more than three citations, please allow a minimum of three to four weeks for the analysis to be returned.

Please enter a phone number where you can be reached during working hours (8am to 5pm)
