Newspaper Articles:
Newspaper articles are the easiest way to find the events that occurred on the day you where born. Randall Library has the Wilmington Morning Star/Morning Star since 1867 if you want to know what the news in Wilmington was on the day you were born. Also, housed in the Microform newspaper collection is The New York Times (1851 - present) and The Washington Post (1982 - 2002).

Journal Articles:
Browse the Periodicals Collection, looking at periodicals such as America, Commonwealth, Contemporary Review, Economist, Life, Maclean's, Nation, National Review, New Republic Time, Newsweek, and U. S. News and World Report. They are alphabetically arranged by title of magazine and are located on the first floor of Randall Library. Keep in mind that the periodical collection contains bound journals (paper copy) as well as some titles in microfilm format.

LexisNexis contains full text of newspaper articles for the past 20 years only. In the search box, type in your search topic then, limit articles to your birth date by entering the date in the Date: limits box.
