Writers Week Panel Moderated by University Librarian

Writers Week is an annual symposium sponsored by the Department of Creative Writing that brings together visiting writers of local and national interest, UNCW students, and members of the general public for a week of panels, discussions, readings, workshops, etc., that celebrate literature and writing.

Writers week begins on Monday, November 5, and we are thrilled to announce that University Librarian Sarah Barbara Watstein will moderate a panel discussion called Library & Information Studies: Career Opportunities for Writers in the Digital Age.

Ms. Watstein has worked in academic libraries for 35 years and has served public and private institutions on both coasts.  She will be joined by Dr. Anne Akers, Library Media and Graduate Support Coordinator at UNC-Greensboro; Michelle Crouch, UNCW MFA candidate with experience in special libraries and museums; and Doug Diesenhaus, Administrative Projects Librarian at UNC-Chapel Hill.

When?  Thursday, November 8, 3:30 p.m.

Where? Kenan Hall Rm # 1111
