AMERICAN LEGION SCRAPBOOKS
1942 - 1963


The American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 10 of Wilmington was charted September 13, 1919 by fifteen World War I veterans in accordance with US 41 Stat. 284. Post 10 has over 800 members on its roster as of January 1990.

This Collection contains three scrapbooks of ephemeral pertaining to veterans and active military personnel from Wilmington and the surrounding area. Items included in the scrapbooks are enlistment notices; obituaries; memorial lists; achievements attained; POW. lists and other patriotic articles and poems.

These scrapbooks were donated to the William Madison Randall Library by Mr. John J. Burney of Wilmington in 1973.

There are no access restrictions on this collection.
