James C. Burke
Original Music of The Cape Fear

The collection is comprised of original music scores for chorus and organ, as well as revisions of other compositions.  Several plays include musical interpretation.
Burke's interests are broad and extend to historic preservation, photography, use of photography as narrative form and the history of Southeastern North Carolina.

Boxes 3 and 4 were donated to the William Madison Randall Library by Mr. and Mrs. James Beeler.  All other materials were donated to the library by Mr. Burke. Mr. Burke continues to add material to this collection.
