Papers
This collection consists of
documents of historical import relating to the Bland and Gause families of
Brunswick County. The documents span the years 1802-1985 and include land
grants, court documents, correspondence, business documents, and deeds.
Many items in the collection concern the Bland and Gause families' land holdings
in Brunswick County, beginning with the 1802 land indenture between William
Gause and Samuel Gause.
This collection was donated to the William Madison
