Jane Baldridge
Collection
This collection was donated to the UNCW Randall Library by Jane Baldridge, from her personal papers and files.
Jane Baldridge is an artist from Wilmington, North Carolina. Her career as an artist has spanned several decades, and she works primarily with watercolor and oil on canvas, and glasswork. Baldridge's work is influenced by the ocean, and she expresses the interplay of light, color, and ocean wildlife in her work. Baldridge's paintings and glass sculptures have been displayed across North Carolina, in New York City, Nebraska, Georgia, and internationally in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Slovenia. Baldridge has also worked as a magazine designer and illustrator. She is an environmentalist and shoreline watcher.
The collection consists of Baldridge's diaries, journals, personal correspondence, clippings, and slides of artwork. Most of the material in this collection is original.
