The collection of nearly 9,000 recordings, donated in large part by John Hertrick, includes popular music, rock'n'roll, jazz, swing, big band, easy listening, gospel, and country by artists such as Ray Coniff, Lenny Dee, Ellington, Earl Grant, Bobby Hackett, Hampton, the Ink Spots, Tom Jones, Letterman, Dean Martin, Presley, Della Reese, Buddy Rich, Ronstadt, Allen Sherman, Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, and Lawrence Welk. Many of these records were promotional copies, distributed to radio stations.
