2009 African American Read-In

Randall Library, University of North Carolina, Wilmington

 

 

 

The read-in is an opportunity for all UNCW students, staff and faculty to celebrate the tremendous contributions African Americans have made to literature.

We invite you to participate in this literary event by selecting a passage from a favorite book by an African American author and reading for 5-7 minutes. We also hope you will stop by the read-in for a few minutes and listen to others read from their favorite writers.

 

 

Who:         Open to all UNCW Students, Staff and Faculty

Date:         Friday, February 13, 2009

Time:         Noon - 1 pm (you are welcome to come and go)

Place:        Randall Library Café

 

Not sure what you want to read? Check out this bibliography of African American authors and works. Titles are available in Randall Library and additional works are located at the Upperman Center.
