Welcome!
UNC Wilmington's Randall Library is pleased to host the 19th annual SAIL meeting May 11-14, 2009 in Wilmington, NC. The theme of this year's conference is "From the River to the Sea" reflecting not only the proximity of the Cape Fear River to the Atlantic Ocean but also the unique aquatic focus of SAIL and the flow of information to and from local environments to the global world.

About the region:
The University of North Carolina Wilmington is located in the southeastern region of North Carolina, near the historic district of Wilmington, four miles from the Cape Fear River and five miles west of Wrightsville Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Through the centuries, the Wilmington area has seen a lot of action, in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and World War II.
