"The World War I Years" Film Discussion Series
Randall Library presents "The World War I Years: America Becomes a World Power," a film and discussion series for Spring 2006. Seven documentary films will be shown over five weeks from Feb. 28-April 11, accompanied by discussions led by W. Taylor Fain, Assistant Professor of History at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

The purpose of the series is to engage the public in a discussion about the political and social history of the United States in the 20th century. It offers an occasion to bring together diverse groups at the library to explore history in greater depth through a mix of scholarly essays, films, and supplemental readings.
The program is part of a national initiative of National Video Resources (NVR) in partnership with the American Library Association (ALA) and with major support from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
Each event will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Randall Library Auditorium. All are free and open to the public. Please see the schedule for the date of the next film.
