Workshops

 

   Everyone will attend two workshops, one on Tuesday, one on Thursday.  Which workshops you attend will be assigned based on your top choices and availability.  Once assigned, the groupings will be posted below.

    There will be three assignments due:

    1.  A short (one-page) reaction to each workshop attended.

    2.  Two typed questions concerning each of the workshops you did not attend. 

    3.  A group presentation on one of the workshops you attended.  Groups will be assigned and posted below.  This can be a PowerPoint overview of the workshop, a brochure of services provided, a game developed from the workshop, etc.  Be creative!

Alcohol:  Read Whitley: "Generation Rx..."
Career Services:  Complete the Choices Interest Profiler before the presentation and print out your results and the list of occupations. 
Instructions to access the C.I.P.:
    Go to www.bridges.com/c
t
    Click on the site ID tab and enter:  Site ID:  0110848    Password: wilmington (case sensitive)
    Click on Choices Planner
    Under the "Work" tab select the "Interest Profiler" to complete your career interest inventory.
    Print out your results and the list of occupations and bring to the workshop.
UNCW Volunteer/Leadership Opportunities: Read Loeb: "We Don't Have to be Saints"
Stress: Visit the UNCW Counseling Center website:

Download and print the "Stress Management Booklet."  Complete the "Stress Quiz" and bring your score to class.  Read over the 52 stress-reducers and try 3 before the presentation.
