Making the Documentary

The process of creating the documentary spanned several years and involved filming at varied locations. Interviews were shot in private homes, in hotel suites, at Montford Point, and in the television studio of the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The images below show some of the locations at which the documentary was filmed, as well as shots of the camera crew at work.
