Perry of Charlotte, NC. Over the next five days, Battery A of the 51st Composite Defense Battalion was organized. On March 11, 1943, Headquarters and Service Company HQ Battalion, Montford Point Camp, was activated as H Company, Recruit Depot Battalion.
