This stove connected to a 10,000-gallon water tank which supplied the heat system. Recruits while on guard duty (fire watch) were responsible for maintaining proper levels of coal to ensure a consistent temperature. Preserved in March 2003 as part of the 1942-1949 Montford Point History.
