This web site was supported by the Department of the Navy, Office of Naval Research, through a grant with South Carolina State University and developed by the University of North Carolina Wilmington, working in close cooperation with the Montford Point Marines Museum at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C.

Viewing the Documentary

Television broadcast of the documentary film, Marines of Montford Point, Fighting for Freedom, will air on the following dates.

  1. Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 10:00 PM - SC Public Television.
  2. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 10:00 PM - NC Public Television (UNC-TV).
  3. After November 1, 2007 - PBS stations across the nation will begin to air the documentary, many in conjunction with Veterans' Day programming. Check local listings.
