Library Policies - Curriculum Materials Center

The Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) is a specialized collection of teaching materials for Pre-school through Grade 12. The Center is located on the second floor of Randall Library.

UNCW or Randall Library identification cards must be presented each time materials are checked out. Current members of the UNCW Alumni Association or Friends of UNCW may obtain a Randall Library ID card at no charge. Adult North Carolina residents (over 18 and out of high school) may purchase a Randall Library ID card for $15.00 per year. These cards are issued at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Library. Free cards are issued for use of CMC materials only for public school teachers in the following counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender, and Sampson. These cards are issued in the CMC. Borrowing privileges are not transferable.

CIRCULATION POLICIES FOR UNCW STUDENTS

UNCW Students may borrow materials as follows:

Borrowers are responsible for materials until they are checked in at the CMC Desk. Borrowers who lose or damage materials will be charged the replacement cost for the item plus the accumulated overdue fines. Items kept beyond their due dates incur overdue charges at the following rates:

Materials may be renewed by telephone (962-3362) or through the Randall Online Catalog renewal system unless materials are overdue or have been requested by another user. If overdue, materials must be brought to the CMC Desk for renewal.



CIRCULATION POLICIES FOR UNCW FACULTY, STAFF,

AND TRUSTEES

UNCW Faculty (active and retired), Staff, and Trustees may borrow materials as follows:

*Staff and Trustees may use Diagnostic Tests in the CMC.

Materials may be renewed by telephone (962-3362) or through the Randall Online Catalog renewal system unless materials are overdue or requested by another user. If overdue, materials must be brought to the CMC Desk for renewal. Although the loan period for most items is for the entire semester, materials may be recalled if another user requests them. Please return recalled items as soon as possible. Borrowers are responsible for materials until they are checked in at the CMC Desk. Replacement costs will be charged to borrowers who lose or damage materials.
