The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy
A non-profit site that provides content from three sources: (1) original contributions by specialized philosophers around the internet, (2) adaptations of material written by the editors for classroom purposes, and (3) adaptations from public domain sources.

Open Directory Project: Philosophy
Links to a wide variety of philosophy materials, from lists of world-wide philosophy departments, to philosophy conferences, to resources on individual philosophers.

Project Gutenberg
Free, dowloadable e-texts of important works, including many works of philosophy.

Philsophy on the Web (from Zeroland)
A collection of links to associations, articles, e-texts, and other materials on philosophy, organized by Adrian Hart in New Zealand.

Dictionary of Philosophy of Mind
A free resource for all those interested in the philosophy of mind. The dictionary has a policy of blind peer review for all submissions to the dictionary.

The American Philosophical Society

The APS promotes useful knowledge in the humanities and sciences. This website provides information on its meetings, publications, grants & prizes, its calendar of events, and a library that includes digitized texts.

The Society for Women in Philosophy

Promotes the advancement of women in philosophy, and offers information on statistics, conferences/papers, articles, and bibliographies.

The American Philosophical Association

As the main professional organization for philosophers in the United States, it is the APA's mission is to promote the exchange of ideas among philosophers, to encourage creative and scholarly activity in philosophy, and to represent philosophy as a discipline.

Guide to Philosophy on the Internet

Among other resources, this site provides a lengthy list of journals and newsletters, many of which are available full-text online. Be sure to check out the E-Text section for a great many philosophical texts that are available full-text online.

The International Association for Philosophy and Literature

Offers information on conferences and publications regarding the interplay of Philosophy, Literary Theory, and Cultural / Textual Studies.

The American Association of Philosophy Teachers

An organization dedicated to the advancement of the art of teaching philosophy; the organization sponsors both a newsletter and a biennial workshop/conference on teaching philosophy. An AAPT owned Listserv is also available.
