Using this worksheet will help you create a search strategy for finding information on your topic in online sources.


1	What is your rough idea?	(Type your idea here)
2	What question do you want your research to help answer?
3	Type here the important words from your question?	(Keyword)		(Keyword)		(Keyword)
4	Type each keyword from #3 and notice the "and" between the columns.		and		and
5	Type synonyms or other words that have similar meaning from #4.		or		or

Place AND between each concept that you want to include in the search. Your search strategy should look like #4. If necessary, replace the keywords from #4 with synonyms from #5 for different results.
