Coastal Development Tracked
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NOAA just released its new Land Cover Assessment, which tracks coastal development. It shows that 53 percent of new development in the U.S. (between 1996 and 2001) occurred along the Southeastern coast between Texas and North Carolina.
