|William S. Dunn joined the US Army in January 1943. He attended boot camp at Vint Hill Farms near Washington, DC. He served with the Military Police (MP), assigned to the 3358th Signal Service Battalion. He was stationed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Fort Dix, New Jersey. Dunn saw military action in Naples, Italy and was discharged March 1946 at Fort Dix, New Jersey.|
