|John E. Winecoff Jr. was serving in the US Army at Fort Jackson, South Carolina when the United States entered WWII. There he was stationed with the 120th Infantry. Later he was stationed at Camp Blandon, Florida. Winecoff served in England and France and saw action in the Battle of the Bulge. Winecoff was discharged from the army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.|
