James Flowers was a teenage Marine from around 1940-1945. He served in the Iceland defense prior to formal declaration of war. He also has Pacific service as a Marine photogarapher. He was present at the sea rescue of American icon Eddie Rickenbacker during mid- WW 2. He entered Japan immeditely after the peace treaty signed.
