How do I access library Databases from off-campus?

To access these resources from off-campus, start at the library website and use the links provided on our Find Databases page, or in our Library Catalog.

When you select a licensed resource such as a database, e-journal, or e-book from our website, library catalog or other library search tool, you may be prompted to log in. If you are on campus or using the UNCW VPN, you will not be prompted to log in.

I'm a retired faculty/staff member or trustee, can I still check out items?

Retired faculty, staff, and trustees of UNCW may borrow materials from the collections upon presentation of a valid UNCW identification card.

  1. Visit the UNCW One Card Office in the Warwick Center to get a new retiree ID card made.
  2. Bring the new One Card to the Randall Library Help Desk and request library access as a retiree. A staff member will set up a new account in our library system and that will enable your library access.
