A search box with a magnifying glass over it. It reads "Now search is even better"

We’ve added two new features to our search results page.

More Search Options goes to Advanced Search!

In the Scholarly Articles box and in the News, Magazines & Trade Publications box we’ve added a “more search options” link that will take you to advanced search in the Summon database. Your search terms will carry over to the advanced search screen.

The Scholarly Articles box with the More Search Options link highlighted.

    Trade Publications now searchable!

    National Library Week (April 4 - 10, 2021)

National Library Week (April 4 - 10, 2021) is a time to celebrate our nation's libraries, library workers' contributions and promote library use and support.

The theme for National Library Week 2021 is "Welcome to Your Library."

During the pandemic, library workers continue to exceed their communities' demands and adapt resources and services to meet their users' needs during these challenging times. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer endless opportunities to transform lives through education and lifelong learning.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and observed in libraries across the country each April. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.

Natalie Portman, Academy Award-winning actress, director, producer, author, and activist is the honorary chair of National Library Week 2021.  A lifelong fan of books, Portman is an avid reader and often shares what she is reading on her Instagram feed, as part of Natalie Portman's Book Club, using the hashtag #whatnatreads. Born in Jerusalem, Israel, she is a graduate of Harvard University and just recently released her debut picture book - “Natalie Portman’s Fables.”
