Thursday Evenings with the Center: Jon Stuhlman

The Center for Southeast North Carolina Archives and History invites you to a virtual presentation on Thursday, March 23rd, at 6:30pm featuring Dr. Jonathan "Jon" Stuhlman.

Jon is the Senior Curator of American Art at The Mint Museum in Charlotte, where he has worked since 2006. He received his BA from Bowdoin College, MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and PhD from the University of Virginia. He has worked previously at the Norton Museum of Art, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and Art Institute of Chicago. In this talk, he will discuss the evolution and development of The Mint Museum’s upcoming exhibition Southern/Modern, which will be the first-ever show to survey comprehensively art created in the South during the first half of the Twentieth Century. He will highlight works by North Carolina artists during his presentation.
