The Spring/Summer Undergraduate Research and Creativity Awards (SURCA) are offered each year through a partnership between ETEAL and CSURF and provide funding to support undergraduate students engaged in research, creative scholarship, or other independent academic work outside of their courses. These are a wonderful example of UNCW’s commitment to support applied learning and faculty-student collaborations.

When and Where

On November 12 and 13, we will share a display of the SURCA projects from Summer 2018. These 19 projects are from 12 different departments, including, Anthropology, Biology & Marine Biology, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Computer Science, Economics & Finance, English, Film Studies, History, Music, Nursing, Philosophy & Religion, and Psychology. Students conducted projects that took them into the laboratory, the marsh, and the film studio. They interviewed tattoo artists and music educators. Clearly these projects celebrate the diversity of research and creative scholarship fields studied at UNCW.

We will hold a reception on Monday, November 12 in Randall Library, second floor from 4:00 to 5:30 PM where you can meet the student and faculty teams.

Please pardon noise and other minor disruptions on these two days.
