We are launching a usability study of Randall Library’s online catalog (IRB 21-0235). Through this study, we hope to find out how usable the catalog is in searching for and retrieving resources such as books, journals, videos and more. By participating in this study, you will be entered into a raffle to win one of two $25 gift certificates to Target! Sign up here!

What is a usability study? A usability study is a series of tasks performed by real people as they use a product or software, such as the library catalog. We observe as you complete the various tasks and we learn how useful and usable the product is by your actions. The test should take about an hour and will be done over Zoom.

We aren’t testing you; we’re asking you to help us test the catalog. There are no wrong answers and all feedback is welcome. You could be a catalog power user, or a total beginner. We’re looking for a variety of experiences. All you need is an internet-connected laptop with a web camera and microphone!
