the images : additional Art Work in Public Spaces in the Wilmington, NC Area
There is even more visual art that is beyond the scope of this project.
- The area is rich in architectural detail that is really a form of visual art.
- Many churches and synagogues have religious art, artifacts and stained glass windows.
- There are many businesses that support art by featuring art as well as commissioning sculptures, murals and designs for their establishments.
- Many individuals have art, particularly fountains and sculpture in visible site in their yards and gardens. An example is the fountain at the Latimer House.
