Founded in 1976, the Council for the Arts offers year round exhibitions, concerts and performances in both literary and visual arts. The Arts Council building, located in downtown Jacksonville NC, houses its offices, meeting rooms, lending library and gift shops where you can find affordable hand crafted art, pottery, stained glass, jewelry, and textiles.

Over the years, through donations from members and the community, the Jacksonsville-Onlsow Council for the Arts has gathered a permanent collection of regional art that can be viewed in this digital collection.
