Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) fosters a campus teaching culture in which the praxis and scholarship of effective teaching is highly valued, invested in, continuously improved upon, and celebrated. Our programs, supports, and resources include:

Distance Education & elearning (DEeL) partners with the UNCW academic community to design, develop, and deliver high-quality online/hybrid courses and programs via emerging pedagogical strategies and instructional technologies. We serve all faculty and all courses -fully on line, hybrid or in-person. Some of our most popular services include comprehensive course design support, Canvas questions and training, ADA accessibility, Linkedln Learning integration, and Quality Matters training/reviews. Our primary support areas are:

Randall Library provides information resources and learner-centered services to foster strong research and critical thinking skills, and technology-rich individual and group learning spaces to cultivate an information-literate community. Our services include:
- Subject liaisons for discipline-specific teaching and scholarship
- Information literacy instruction and consultations on crafting research assignments
- Interlibrary loan & document delivery
