Jean C. and Morris F. Powell
This collection contains the personal memorabilia of Jean C. and Morris F. Powell, including pharmaceutical advertisements, photographs and a diploma from James Walker Memorial Hospital Nursing School. Morris Powell was a veteran of the United States Navy on the USS McDermut and thereafter pharmaceutical salesman for the Bellamy Drug Company. He passed away 11 August 2007. Jean Powell (née Jean Stith Collier) was a nurse. She graduated from James Walker Memorial Hospital Nursing School on 1 November 1947, where she was a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps, she died 25 October 2005. The items are donated in memory of the James Walker Memorial Hospital Nursing School graduates of the Class of 1947.
This collection was donated to William Madison Randall Library by Morris and Karen Powell in August 2007.
