Parking and Directions
The Center's reading room is located inside UNCW Library on the 2nd floor of Discovery Hall, room 2095. For driving directions to the UNCW campus, click here.
Onsite parking for the UNCW Library is limited. We suggest the following parking options:
- There are several metered parking spaces in the Library Lot (located at 5148 Randall Drive) or the Deloach Lot (adjoining the Library Lot) available to use for an hourly fee.
- UNCW offers free visitor parking in the Visitor Lot (located at 4941 Riegel Road) or in the East Parking Deck (located at 971 Reynolds Drive). These locations are approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the library.
- Visitors may also purchase a day-use permit from the UNCW Parking and Transportation Services Office.
If you have an accessibility need, please contact the Center at least one week prior to your planned visit so that we can reserve a parking space close to the building for you.
The below map indicates the location of Discovery Hall and some suggested parking options.
To get to UNCW Library from the Visitor Parking Lot at 4941 Riegel Rd:
- Turn right on the sidewalk from the visitor parking lot and head towards Price Dr.
- Cross Price Dr. and walk towards the Burney Center Courtyard (between Burney Center and Fisher Student Center).
- From the Burney Center Courtyard, cross the street towards the Warwick Center.
- Turn right and walk past the Fisher Student Center (on your right).
- Follow the sidewalk to the left. You will pass a set of picnic tables under some large trees.
- Turn right and follow the sidewalk to pass King Hall (on your left).
- Continue straight until you reach the UNCW Library, which is the next building after you pass King Hall. The library's main entrance will be ahead of you on your left.
