Starting TODAY, April 6 at noon, UNCW is launching its one-day giving program, Seahawks Give. Your support of Randall Library or another UNCW area that matters most to you will be matched and supported by various challenges throughout the day.
We hope that you agree with us that Randall Library is the intellectual heart of the University. Randall not only supports students, faculty, staff, and the greater community with millions of resources (books, journals, media) but also offers services, spaces and technology that give students and faculty opportunities to actively engage and create new knowledge. We, more than any area on campus, have a truly campus-wide audience. We know no disciplinary boundaries, and we serve first-year students to faculty emerita and beyond. We believe this makes Randall Library like no other.
Our new Center for Southeast North Carolina History and Archives is a regional treasure for primary materials focused on the University and the history, economy, culture, and environment of our eight-county region. We provide researchers and the community access to those materials that are like no other.
In the last year, we have also seen that Randall is much more than its four walls. The pandemic has shown the extent of our virtual reach as we have vastly increased our electronic holdings and shifted our services, programming, and instruction to virtual platforms. We will take the lessons learned this year to broaden our services to engage with students and faculty more fully when we return to campus in the fall.
Gifts to the library can make a profound difference in state-of-the-art learning spaces and technology and in the preservation and access to unique materials in Southeast North Carolina so that Randall can grow and expand to meet the evolving needs of our campus community where users can have transformative experiences like no other.
We hope you will consider a gift to Randall Library during our Seahawks Give campaign.
