UNCW Library is a member of the Federal Depository Library Program and the North Carolina State Clearinghouse. We receive resources that are produced by federal and state agencies and departments. These resources include online congressional hearings and committee prints, statistics, data, laws, journals, magazines, and much more. A wide range of subjects and topics are covered and resources are available in print and online. Please use the links below to search for specific topics. The Government Resources department is one of three units that comprise the Center for Southeast North Carolina Archives and History (CSENCAH). Current hours for the CSENCAH Reading Room are Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The Reading Room is located on the 2nd floor of Discovery Hall, UNCW Library. Before visiting the Center's Reading Room, we strongly suggest you call the Reading Room at 910-962-7810 or email csencah@uncw.edu to confirm hours.

Collection Development

UNCW Library was designated as a selective depository for United States government publications in 1965. The depository collection is administered and maintained according to the requirements of Title 44, Chapter 19 of the United States Code; Instructions to Depository Libraries; and Guidelines for the Depository Library System. The library is committed to providing free access to the collection for UNCW students, faculty, staff, and the general public. Services are provided in person, by telephone, email, and chat reference.
