• Hidden curriculum and assumptions about knowledge, particularly about how students and instructors perceive their own skills 
• Motivational and positive psychology as applied to instructional design
• Neurodivergence and disability in higher education 
• Librarian roles in promoting science communication and science literacies
• The concept of human agency and identity, especially as it relates to technologies like AI
