Drop-In and Scheduled Consultations
The DAL is open both In-person and online with drop-in (or scheduled) consultation hours as follows:

If you're not available during these times, please email DataAnalysis-Lib@uncw.edu with details about the background and problems you are facing with your code (screenshots or code files could be helpful reference as well). During the next available hours, we will look into the issues and get back to you by email and may be able to schedule a meeting outside of weekly hours.

The DAL also provides drop-in consultation hours for research data analysis in SPSS, R, and Excel during our operating hours. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to stop in unannounced, for help.
Consultations are available in person in RH 1023G at the UNCW Library Randall Hall (during Spring and Fall semesters) or over Zoom.

The DAL is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the quality of quantitative data analysis for research activities at UNCW. Faculty leading projects for grants or publications can schedule appointments with the Center Director. External business clients seeking statistical consulting services are also welcome.

Coding with RMarkdown: A workshop for BMB GSA

The library will be offering a small group workshop to provide disciplinary students with R training on a topic. Topics covered in this workshop intended for Marine Biology graduate students will include a more introductory level of using RMarkdown for conducting reproducible research. The first hour will be a guided lesson by a peer instructor. The second hour will allow time to practice the functions learned using a sample disciplinary dataset (or even trying to apply the skills to your own data) with instructors available if you get stuck. The workshop will be using RStudio, so please have RStudio and R language already installed prior to the workshop; if you need help with the software installation, please arrive early or contact the data librarian to receive help ahead of time. This is a beta workshop from the library, so please let us know if this is something you’d like more of! For more independent guidance, the library offers one-on-one programming and statistical support outside of workshops.
Data Analysis & the Statistical Collaboration and Training Center (SCTC): A workshop for the Honors College
