Posted:The Graduate School, UNCW Library and the University Learning Center are teaming up to offer an Academic Research and Writing Camp on September 12, 2025. If you are working on a thesis, dissertation or any project that involves research and writing, this camp is the place for you. Join us for a day of workshops and dedicated writing time with our research and writing consultants. Virtual and in-person attendance options will be offered, and both breakfast and lunch will be provided to in-person attendees. We are pursuing a digital badging option for attendees who stay for the entire program (more information on this coming soon).
Please RSVP by filling out this survey if you plan to attend. If you would like to order lunch, please sign up no later than Friday, September 5.

Make It at UNCW Library
Posted:Come get creative at Make It at UNCW Library, a hands-on welcome event designed to introduce you to the library and the MakerStudio, your new go-to space for building, designing, and bringing your ideas to life. There’s something for every kind of maker! Whether you’re artsy, techy, or just curious. Swing by the Discovery Hall, first floor, on Sept. 11 between 10-2 p.m. to get creative, snack on treats, score free stuff, and explore all the cool things you can make at your library!
At the event, you’ll be able to design your own zine, carve custom stamps, and paint mini masterpieces. You can also mix up a tasty snack at the Trail Mix Station or get creative with sweet treats at the Candy Sushi Station. While you're there, enter the raffle for a chance to win a gift bag packed with library swag and surprises.
Lunch and Learning Lab Series: Statista
Posted:Join us for this interactive and hands-on workshop digging into the robust statistical and quantitative data resources available in Statista. With information on more than 60,000 topics from more than 18,000 sources, we'll explore ways you can incorporate this powerhouse database into your teaching, assignments, and classes. All faculty, staff, and graduate students are welcome! Snacks available for in-person attendees.
