  • Lunch and Learning Lab: Alexander Street Press

    November's Lunch and Learning Lab will highlight the interdisciplinary database Alexander Street Press, offering faculty, staff and graduate students a chance to explore its extensive collection of streaming video, audio and text resources. The session will feature examples from the humanities and social sciences, including counseling sessions, music and theater performances, and oral histories. 

    Attendees will learn strategies for integrating these materials into teaching and research. Snacks will be provided for in-person attendees. The session will take place Tuesday, Nov. 11, from noon to 1 p.m. in Discovery Hall, room DH2097 or virtually via Zoom



  • Center for Southeast North Carolina Archives and History Open House

    The Center for Southeast North Carolina Archives and History (CSENCAH) at UNCW Library will host an open house Thursday, Oct. 30, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the CSENCAH reading room, located in Discovery Hall, room DH2095. 

    Visitors are invited to drop in at any time during the event to explore original historical resources from the Center’s archives and specialized book collections. Light refreshments will be served, and the Center team will be available to discuss the Center’s holdings.

The Open Access Champions program highlights faculty who demonstrate a commitment to making scholarly work freely accessible and to expanding the impact of academic research.   • 48 Hour Film Competition
