Tuesday: Interactive artist performance, "I hear the quivering of that flame". This performance dialogues with an ongoing series started in 2024 by the artist around queer embodiment, film, and water ecologies. Through the use of sound, video, and live performance, it proposes a reflection on the materiality of queer bodies in relation to the pollution and exploitation of marine ecosystems. Thursday: Film Screening and Discussion of Wade in the Water: a journey into Black surfing and aquatic culture. A panel discussion, community tabling, and film screening with Q&A. Refreshments provided. Discovery Hall 1070, 4 pm.
